Quick, but vitally important post: Proceed to this web page to support a real Star Control 3: That page also has links to all the relevant information about Star Control and Toys for Bob, the creators of Star Control 1&2.

20th of March of Doom

May 14th, 2006

I haven’t posted in 4 months. At least one of those i can blame on March 20th though. To fully understand why, note that an online multiplayer Metroid title came out, and I’ve played it for less than 5 minutes. It was the _3rd_ best game to come out on that day. Read the rest of this entry »

PSP: It’s like something small and easy to cary, only…um… portable.

January 9th, 2006

Ok, I said I’d post something positive this time, but I have to complain about this first.  These PSP ads are really bugging me on a high level.  It's like a nut, only exhibiting a property of nuts that all other nuts also have. Read the rest of this entry »

Xbox: Just TRY to play together.

December 10th, 2005

A cool guy I work with picked up a 360 on his way into work today. I will now describe the insanity of trying to get player 2 into PGR.

  • xbox 360 hooked up
  • 360 turned on
  • live account setup
  • live account signed into (probably not necessary)
  • From the 360 main menu, we go to the menu item for open tray
  • nothing happens

    Xbox $560+Tax

    December 1st, 2005

Well the Xbox 360 launched to thunderous sellouts and hype, but at the end of the day the launch has been fairly unimpressive for me. Whats really gotten to me is the incredible badwill Microsoft has shown towards its customers. I’m not going to get too much into the technical issues that its seeing at launch (although the problems with the meatnormous sized power supply are a bit disturbing. Wait for rev2.

Here is the proverbial piece of paper that was enough to make me somehow part with the giant cost of starting a website.  This piece of paper here:

    New cool looking ExoMajig

    May 11th, 2005

Welcome to The ExoMajig.  For now the site will be very simple.  As I add more (any) information, I’ll work out some sort of navigation, categories, that sort of thing.  This site will contain a lot of me pointing out how stupid and/or amazing things are, particularly in the arena of games (video, computer, board, card, reindeer, etc) including games themselves, the industry, the people in the industry, people who play the games, and people who don’t play the games.  I’m sure I’ll poop on some movies and whatever else too.  In addition to Penny Arcadesque posts about things that are in the now, I plan on doing a few articles, features, that sort of thing.  There’s a topic I like to launch into all the time about Sonic vs. Banjo (why, from the viewpoint of the actual games involved that Sonic one of the worst designed characters ever while Banjo and Kazooie
[both are important] are one of the best designed characters) that I’d like to make the definitive piece on, so I can finally say "Look, just go to
    exomajig.com/sonicvsbanjo.htm."

I’ve got WordPress going, which is a badass PHP based sitemodon and blogmajig. If you don’t know jack, it’s great. I need to get the colors moved around, but for now, here we are.
